He worked for a UK banking group where he obtained valuable experience in many aspects of international banking and securities as part of the bank’s management development program.

Looking for a wider challenge he moved into the Trust industry and worked for 5 years for the trust division of a Dutch bank. An opportunity was then presented to him to take a position in the British Virgin Islands for another Dutch bank owned trust company. He remained there for four years before moving to Hong Kong with the same firm for approximately 1 year to assist with the opening of a new office.

After this time abroad Martyn returned to Jersey where he joined a small management company which provided family and private client wealth planning solutions. This company grew successfully and was later acquired by an international trust group. Martyn remained with this group for approximately 10 years working in Jersey, the BVI and Switzerland as a director and managing director of these various offices.
